12 Weeks

12 weeks today!  Still not sure I'm seeing much of a difference in my belly.  Maybe a little smaller?

There really isn't a whole lot to report.  My next doctor's appointment is next week.  I never got the referral off post so I had to switch my insurance.  Even though the doctor wasn't sure when they delivered twins last and there is no NICU, they felt like they could "handle" my pregnancy and delivery.  We just aren't comfortable with that.  It's all for the best anyway.  At the one appointment I went to I was told, "We'll probably start looking at a controlled induction around 38 weeks because no one likes to be called in the middle of the night.  It's just no fun for anyone."  Really?  REALLY?  Then maybe you need to be a different kind of doctor.  I've heard of a lot of babies that weren't born between 9 and 5, Monday through Friday.  I have heard many other horror stories from friends that I won't bother to recount here.  We're thankful we have the option to switch even though it will be more money out of pocket.  It's frustrating since we've paid so much already; Tricare doesn't cover much for infertility.  But it's worth it for the peace of mind, to say the least.

Hopefully there will be more pictures of the babies to post after my appointment next week!

Seriously?

"I need you to urinate in the cup between the two lines.  No more, no less.  Do not void in the toilet first.  Good luck."

Almost 10 weeks

Had another great appointment today.  Both babies are doing well.  Baby A is measuring 9w3d with a heartrate of 165 and Baby B is measuring 9w5d with a heartrate of 156.  They are big enough now to see movement on the u/s so I took a video with my phone.

I "graduated" from the fertility clinic today.  Of course that's exciting but it was a little bittersweet.  You can't help but get to know these people pretty well when you're in there several times a week.  I'm still working on getting settled with an OB.  It's been somewhat difficult since the hospital on post doesn't want to release me, even though they have no NICU.  Hopefully the babies won't need to spend any time there but if they do, I'd rather already be in a hospital that has one than have them flown 30 miles away.  So hopefully all of that will get worked out soon.

We've been spoiled getting to see the babies so much.  Not sure when my next u/s will be.  But they're both doing great so far which is wonderful news.

9 weeks

I'm not sure any of these "belly shots" look much different from the ones before, but here it is. I turned 9 weeks yesterday. Looking forward to seeing the babies again on Monday.
